Hi I am stage 3 kidney disease , heart problems.  With diabetes  bugger.

Anyway contacted my aged care got a assessment  done prior being diagnosed  with kidney  disease 

And was awarded level 2 now waiting  for level 3 or higher. 

Only problems  I have my carer is on chsp and needs home maintenance  help.

As do I there is zero home Maintenance  for us both.

We need plumbers, electrical  etc 

To help us stay in our home.

I rang ALL of the providers  zero does maintenance  at all 

I rang my aged care zero providers 

I rang everyone to get help 

I don't need people  to sit and me give them tea and a biscuits 

Every single carer aged and dsp should email health ministers write a quick email  we need that help to stay in our home longer. Our pension  does not cover all the extra costs

Please help guys one single email

I am very sorry that you are in such a difficult situation right now, especially with your current health concerns. I understand how disheartening the My Aged Care system can be at times. Especially with constant changes to approved services, which can be very frustrating.

So I know I've got this right, you've been approved for a Home Care Package Level 2 and are now awaiting approval for level 3 or 4. And you don't have a current provider?

I'm wondering if you've heard of OPAN? Which stand for the Older Persons Advocacy Network. They are a wonderful support for people navigating the My Aged Care system. Here is their website:

I also love your idea of us all banding together and trying to inspire some change, that would be very empowering.
