Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?
@Former-Member, i don't think we've ever thrown a Pride and Prejudice tea party for you? And, of course, for Mr. Darcy...

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?
@Former-Member.
The cartoon's not bad as a basic summary. I've read all of Jane Austen's books, I think? Pride and Prejudice is probably the best, so deserves its status as most well known.
I've got a long term aversion to romantic novels, but I enjoy the somewhat farcical glimpse into the society of the time, and she is actually an intelligent writer, who published at a time when women were almost universally assumed to be "too foolish" to write novels. They were originally published anonymously, although the title page did state that they were "By a Lady". After her death, reprintings were published with her name.
