Celebrating members
In our Lived Experience side of the forum this month we are celebrating @Former-Member for offering honest and supportive advice to forums members during difficult periods, encouraging them to stay connected and kind to themselves.
“I find it takes the edge off to chat or just tell someone. But, No one person knows you better than you. Try hold it together. So what if we misfire or lose the plot sometimes... if we're not hurting anyone... Be kind to yaself.”
In our Carers forum we are celebrating @Former-Member for always replying with thoughtful advice, and letting other members know they understand what they are going through and using their own experience as a way to help when they can here.
Forum events to take part in this month:
Our March event was our first ever group mindfulness session, co-hosted by @SmilingMind The links will remain on the forums so please go back and read through, as it was a great introduction to meditation!
This month, we will be holding our second mindfulness session for Lived Experience and Carers, co-hosted by One Door Mental Health! The event will be held 7pm – 8.30pm Tuesday 28 April.

Quote's of the month
Lived Experience Forum:
“Perhaps it's a good reminder that wherever possible we shouldn't suffer in silence - but share our pain, experience, and successes - in order to help each other navigate the present moment and whatever may lie ahead.”

Carers Forum:
“I am glad you found us here, because being able to speak out about what you, personally, are going through is so important to your own mental health. It is important to know you are not alone in the experiences.”
